What time is check-in and check-out?

Check-in begins at 5:00 PM, and check-out is strictly at 10:00 AM. Want to get in early or sleep in late? We can usually accommodate early check-ins or late check-outs for a $60 fee, but this must be arranged in advance. Our cleaning crews work hard and need that time to make the place spotless for the next guest!

Do I have to pay for the whole trip upfront?

Accepted Answer

If your trip is more than a month away, nope! When booking directly with Stay On The Gulf Coast outside of 30 days of arrival, we only require a deposit equal to 35% of the total amount due to confirm your reservation. Your total remaining balance is then due 30 days prior to your check-in date. However, if you are booking a last-minute getaway inside that 30-day window, your full total is due upon booking. Please note that if your reservation is not paid prior to 30 days of your check-in date, it will be cancelled and all advance payments will be forfeited.

What happens if I need to cancel my trip? Do I get a refund?

Life happens, but we have a strict timeline to ensure our property owners are protected! Canceling 30+ days out: If you cancel your reservation thirty (30) days prior to your check-in date, you will receive a refund of the deposit paid minus a cancellation fee of 6% of the rental total. Refunds are only issued for cancellations outside of this 30-day window. Canceling inside 30 days: If you cancel less than 30 days prior to your check-in date, you will forfeit all advance payments. We do not issue refunds for cancellations or early departures due to personal circumstances or inclement weather within the posted cancellation date range. (Pro Tip: We strongly suggest you purchase Travel Insurance to protect yourself against unforeseen developments like illnesses or mandatory hurricane evacuations, as our policy does not provide refunds for those events.)

I’m active-duty military. Do you offer military rates?

First off, thank you for your service. We host a massive number of military guests, and we’ve got your back. We proudly match per diem rates, require NO upfront deposit to confirm your military orders, and offer flexible cancellations if the government changes your plans. Just keep us in the loop, and we’ll make sure your finance office gets exactly what they need. Please contact us directly to book so we can make sure you get the proper rate!

Do I need to bring my own toilet paper and soap?

Accepted Answer

We provide a complimentary "Starter Kit" to get you through your first 24 hours. This includes a roll of toilet paper per bathroom, a roll of paper towels, trash bags, dishwasher pods, and travel-sized toiletries. We do not restock these items. Think of this as your private vacation home, not a hotel with a daily maid cart. You’ll need to hit up the local grocery store for extra supplies, groceries, and whatever you plan to drink!

Can I smoke or vape on the balcony?

Accepted Answer

Yes, but only on the outdoor balconies, and the balcony doors must remain completely closed while you do. The interiors of all our properties are entirely smoke-free and vape-free. If our cleaners find evidence of indoor smoking or lingering odors, you will be charged a deep-cleaning and deodorizing fee.

Can I bring my dog?

Accepted Answer

Only in very specific, pre-approved units! Most of our Homeowners' Associations strictly prohibit pets. We do have select pet-friendly units available for a $400 fee, which must be cleared before you arrive. A fair warning: Sneaking an unauthorized pet into a non-pet-friendly unit will result in immediate eviction without a refund, plus some heavy deep-cleaning penalties. Please don't test us on this one. (Service animals are welcome per the law, but please let us know in advance so we can handle the HOA paperwork!)

What if the Wi-Fi goes down?

Accepted Answer

First, check your device. Second, you can unplug the power cord from the router and plug it back in to cycle it. Do not alter the network name, press the reset button, or unplug any other equipment. Your electronic door locks and unit security rely on that Wi-Fi. If you tamper with the internet equipment, a strict $75 fee will be applied.

What happens if I have an issue after hours?

Accepted Answer

We have a team on-call 24/7 for actual emergencies (e.g., power outages, active water leaks, no AC/heat, or fire). Please note: If you call our emergency line at 2:00 AM because you don't know how to change the TV input or your remote needs batteries, you will be charged a service fee for waking up our on-call staff. For non-emergencies, shoot us a message via text or email and we’ll handle it first thing in the morning!
